This class is the second class in a series of four lessons. Although, each lesson can stand alone. In this class, learners will explore beat. After introductions, learners will pat the beat with a simple rhyme, reviewing that the beat is steady. Then a game of “Beat/No Beat” where learners determine beat in the world and beat in music. A beat tapping sheet will be provided for the lessons. Learners need a marker or other writing tool to tap the beat on the tapping sheet. Learners can use percussion instruments that they have at home to tap the beat during part of the lesson.
