Class time will include a mix of vocabulary games, reading, discussion and writing. The class will begin with a few fun games to get creative juices flowing. Then we'll read the story "The Knight Who Was Afraid of the Dark," a funny story about conquering fears and creating our own happy endings. Next, students will work together to write a collaborative group story about overcoming fears. And, finally, students will focus on creating their own funny character descriptions which they will be...
This class is designed to get students excited about writing.
I have over 15 years experience teaching English, specializing in teaching writing. In this class, we will use one of my favorite stories as a springboard for creating our own stories.
Students need to come prepared to write. They will need a pencil and eraser, and some paper. A story template will also be provided for students who wish to continue writing stories after class.
