課堂經歷
In this weekly class, students will be given the opportunity to practice speaking and listening skills while talking about their favorite teams, players, and all things basketball! My goal is to create a meaningful, comfortable, social learning environment where students discuss interesting topics and connect with each other. Students will make predictions about the NBA Season, who will be on the All-Star Team, win the MVP, Rookie of the Year, and other awards! In each class, we will also...
Students will gain confidence as they speak publicly about their favorite players and teams and be able to provide reasoning for their thoughts.
I have coached basketball at the elementary, middle, and high school level for 10+ years and love talking about basketball with anyone who will listen!
We will use Blooket, Gimkit, and/or Kahoot to play the games. All of these tools are free to use and students will not need to create an account to play. Some of the games, like Blooket and Gimkit do offer the students the ability to change their "characters" in certain games if they have logged in and created an account.
