This class is designed for students to learn how to make digital music. Each session the group will be shown a new step in the process and then they will practice that step in order to create and enhance their own beats. Students will first view the teacher demonstrate different styles of beats. They will then learn new skills and techniques to make beats including, drum loops, sampling, and adding virtual instruments. The class will then create their own beats. Students will learn skills and techniques to create digital music with Logic. They will learn how to use loops and play virtual instruments as well as sample parts of other songs so that they can layer their beats. Once they have the layers recorded they will learn how to finish off their beats so that they sound professionally mixed and edited.
I have been a music producer for 20 years and a school teacher for 12. I have combined my two passions to create digital music classes for children.
