My goal is for bakers to be able to learn to make a delicious pumpkin crisp to enjoy now and make again throughout the Fall season for family and friends. I hope as artists, they can enjoy some time making a beautiful and vibrant chalk pastel drawing of a pumpkin, learning to layer and blend the colors in a rich composition.

I love cooking and baking and making real food with simple ingredients for myself and my family. Whenever I make this seasonal dessert, everyone falls in love with it! I have been baking this one for about 18 years, multiple times through the season and year. I enjoy sharing my food with friends and family, and am excited to share this in an Outschool class for young bakers to try!

I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA and have enjoyed working with vibrant colors through markers, paints, and chalk pastels. My personal style is more abstract, graphic, and even impressionistic. I have been drawn to using chalk pastels in my own work over the years because I love the instant gratification it brings to see the colors pop and dance off the page in impressive ways that are not hard to learn.
