Calling all Avatar the Last Airbender fans! Come join us in this Avatar social party, where we will play games, quizzes, and do trivia related to Avatar! A perfect session for anyone who loves this series and wants to practice their social/discussion skills. What better way to connect with others than through a shared passion? :) We will start off the class by doing a quiz in which students will find out what kind of bender they would be! Next, students will be given themed discussion questions and problems that they will solve using their Avatar knowledge. Then, we will have a mini rock-paper-scissors tournament but with an Avatar twist in which we duel with the four elements. We will finish off the class with a trivia game where students can put their Avatar knowledge to the test! ***If you don’t see a suitable time, feel free to use the auto-scheduler (click “Show Alternative Times”) or message me to make a section that suits your schedule.*** I strive to provide a class environment that is fun, engaging, and a positive space! Hi there! Teacher Tirath here! Nice to (virtually) meet you! :)
I am so excited to be on Outschool to teach creative courses! I have 4+ years of teaching both English and math to students of all ages, and have been teaching English online for almost three years. I also have experience leading arts camps as well as working with children on film sets. I am excited about this opportunity to be able to continue to open my classroom to students from all over the world!
In terms of my qualifications, I have a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Film Production. My specializations were screenwriting, directing, editing and sound. I have made a few short films of my own which have been shown at film festivals, and I also have done lots of editing work in the past few years. Needless to say, creativity is my passion!
I also have a Bachelors of Science, and love teaching classes that blend both science and the arts!
My teaching style is friendly, patient, and full of positivity. I believe that learning should be enjoyable, so I like to keep my classes engaging and full of fun! Also a positive learning environment is a must in my book!
When I’m not teaching or doing film work, I like to read books, draw, listen to music, and spend some time in nature, whether that be hiking, walking, or biking! I am a total tree hugger!
