During this one time class we will take a virtual trip to the park through the world of Amercan Sign Language. This fun and fast paced class will include the sights and sounds as we learn their signs. Colors will also be included in this interactive experience, and class involvement will be encouraged. Students will interact by following along with the signs of the instructor and by reviewing signs when asked.

Students will learn and retain knowledge of the park and its various surroundings introduced in the class.

I love ASL! It is my second language and I have been a part of the d/Deaf community for more than 20 years in various capacities such as: area coordinator for a d/Deaf teen ministry called Deaf Teen Quest, freelance interpreting for the deaf and hard-of-hearing,
but most of my interpreting was in the school system.
Since moving from Kentucky to Florida 5 years ago, I have transitioned exclusively to teaching freelance ASL classes for elementary, middle and high school students (ASL levels 1-3) and tutoring students one-on-one. I've also had the opportunity to work with a hearing family who has a deaf toddler.評論
