Virtual Field Trip During this show, we’ll take you to the Elephant Nature Park in Thailand. You’ll be introduced to the Asian Elephant and the tourism industry that thrives off of this magnificent animal. Is it good or bad for the Elephants? You decide! See 'Parental Guidance' before registering for this program. Teaching Style/Philosophy Learn Around The World's mission is to help your learner become an informed and productive global citizen. -Students will be introduced to the Asian Elephant.
-Students will virtually visit the Elephant Nature Park in Thailand.
-Students will learn about threats to elephants in Thailand.
-Students will discuss the positive and negative effects of Elephant tourism at home and abroad

BEWARE - We will reference landmines in this program. As such, your learner may inquire further about this issue. If you prefer to avoid this topic with your child then you may want to skip this program. Why address it? Some of the elephants that your learner will see were injured by landmines and there is no way around the topic. This is a reality in this part of the world. Additionally, we will talk about the mistreatment of elephants in this program. Why? Again, this is a reality with elephant tourism and we can not avoid the conversation.
As an organization, we approach these conversations respectfully and truthfully. We can not help these magnificent animals if we are intentionally or unintentionally hurting them.

Learn Around The World’s mission is to promote global awareness and digital citizenship to K-12 students and the general public.
To accomplish this, we take students around the world on guided, virtual experiences to learn about new cultures, history, and natural wonders.
- Virtual Field Trips -
With the video conferencing and social media tools available in today’s classrooms and homes, former barriers such as money, distance, and time have been essentially eliminated from getting students out of the classroom and into the world. Classes are visiting locations such as space stations, underwater marine labs, and foreign countries in the span of just one school day…AND…it’s all live interaction!
With the launch of GEOshow in the Spring of 2015, Learn Around The World (i.e., learnATW) jumped to the forefront of the virtual field trip revolution. Today, learnATW is pushing Virtual Field Trips to the limit with it’s unique, authentic programming!
