Welcome to Mrs. D's Art Room, where it is always a good day when you are learning something new!

I will guide them to use their imagination or show steps with simple instructions to draw some awesome colorful drawings in their sketchbook and learn some new techniques! 

While learning I will focus on some basic rules or factors of drawing and painting like spacing, proportions, angles, detailing, and the use of different mediums using fun techniques. 

Class days schedule:
Week 1 ~ Day 1~Stripped Flower pot inspired by Wassily Kandinsky's heart art using watercolors
Week 2 ~ Day 2: Llama/ Alpaca with heart-shaped handprints background 
Week 3~ Day 3: Red roses in colored pencils
Week 4~ Day 4: Cherry blossom tree using Q-tips and acrylic paints


Explanation of how the class will work:

For the first 5 min: Introduction of me and my young artists

Next 10 to 15 minutes: Understanding the topic and finishing drawing using the learner’s ideas using simple guidelines by my reference artworks. 

Next 20 to 25 minutes: learn to use lots of techniques, textures, and easy-to-follow steps while drawing and painting.

I will use a dual-screen so that kids can see me drawing with them throughout the whole class.

Young artists will learn fun facts about the red roses and cherry blossom tree with an introduction to the well-known Van Gogh’s apple blossom painting!

Also, an introduction to a famous artist Wassily Kandinsky's heart art while painting the artwork inspired by the artist in watercolor!

The young artist will be encouraged to make their artwork unique and complete their art independently if they are not finished in class. I pace our class based on the student’s abilities, so we will go slower or faster depending on how they are doing.

I am open to the time and day requests!
