In this ongoing class, learners will meet once a week to create works of art. Some works of art will celebrate different countries. Materials needed will be listed a week in advance. Learners will be shown step by step how to complete each teacher-led activity in class. If there are any pre-class activities, I will upload a video of me teaching how to complete the task. Students will create works of art using different materials and meduims. The student will create art from other cultures. Activities include painting, drawing, printmaking, leaf rubbing, construction paper crafts, pattern designing, and card making.
I have been a professional self-taught Haitian artist working in acrylic for the last 19 years. I was an educator in a brick motor school for 8 years teaching grades 3-8 in all subjects. I have homeschooled, my 4 children, for the last 10 years while teaching online classes for the last three years. I was the art teacher for my children's homeschool co-op group.
Please use art supplies already at home. If there are extra materials needed I will post them in class sessions a week in advance.
