課堂經歷
This camp course meets every weekday for two weeks/ten days . This camp requires a bit more "after camp" work than the "Structures" Camp. Students need to be committed to completing projects before the next day and should expect about 1-2 hours of work after class. *** For this same course during the school year, we meet once a week for ten weeks. Check out... Architecture Home Design Over Ten Weeks Rocks! Class Schedule: Greetings Each day students will share what they did after class the previous day. Lesson/Discussion about the "room of the day". (What is needed, what to include etc..) Images of possibilities Discussion of sizes, placements etc. Working in class Sharing as we go. Over the course of two weeks, students will design their Dream Homes from the inside out. Students will create "Dream Boards" for each room in their home. (One a day) Students will use grid paper and templates to draw the "plans" of each room. (One a day) Students will build a model of their dream home. (Adding a bit each day as we design through the house:) Goals for the Day to be completed after class: Finishing the "interior design board" of the day Finishing drawing the plans of the "room of the day" Finishing the model of the "Room" of the day. (Students may build their city buildings with Legos, Minecraft or physical materials.) (Estimation about 1-2 hours of "homework") In class we may also discuss: Which of your room designs this week is your favorite? Which of the other students projects is your favorite? Why? Did you like the project? How long did you work on your project after class? Schedule/Syllabus Day 1: Kitchen Day 2: Family Room Day 3: Entrance Space/Area Day 4: Office or Schoolroom Day 5: Bathroom/Laundry Room Day 6: Bedrooms Day 7: Front/Back Yards Day 8: Student Choice (Bonus Room) Day 9: Bring it all together Day 10: Student Presentations Project based assignments are meant to encourage students to embrace their creativity by building structures. (There are no "wrong" answers, but there are a lot of really FUN solutions:). NOTE: Students will need either an IKEA catalog, another interior furnishings type catalog or magazine or the ability to "shop" and print color photos of their furniture choices to create their "Design boards". They will be cutting their favorites out of this catalog/ad/magazine etc.. and will be glue sticking them to a presentation board for each "room". (We are also designing a bit of the outside, so pictures of pools, gazebos, decks, plants, flowers etc.. might be fun to use.). Older students might be able to do their "shopping online" but something physical to cut up would be best. Why choose a CAMP class? • Camp classes are great for families who want to focus on a unit study. • Students from all of over the world can participate in class. • Students can work at their own pace during and after class. • This wonderful curriculum was created by Building Brilliant Minds Online School of the Arts. • Technical Problems: If you are experiencing technical problems please contact Outschool Support at Support@outschool.com

其他詳情
父母的引導和規範
Students will be encourage to use basic art supplies and materials such as glue, scissors, and paper clips.
Students will be asked to find, cut out and glue photos of furniture and interior design elements that they would like to include in their dream homes. These images may come from anywhere a parent approves such as magazines, books, and newspaper ads.
Students may use or "furniture shop" on the internet, but this isn't required and parents are encouraged to supervise with their family Internet usages guidelines.
One more thing, parents, when you are walking barefoot, watch out for random "building bricks" left on the floor:).
供應清單
Students may choose how they would like to present their room interior design boards. (These may be presented on poster board, or even on regular paper in a 3-ring notebook). Some students might want a 3-fold presentation board for each area (or for excerpts of their entire home design as part of their last day presentations. Students may also wish to use advertisements or magazines or prints of furniture that they like off of the internet. (Parental approval advised.) Students may use any materials they wish above and beyond: Graph paper Templates provided by the teacher with each lesson Glue Sticks Scissors Students may use Legos, Minecraft or Physical materials (cardboard, poster board (Like Lesson 4 of Arch Rocks) to "Build" their dream homes. Students would do best to have a physical home furnishings catalog or magazine to cut up and glue stick their interior room choices to their design "boards". To obtain a physical catalog, you could go to or contact a local Ikea store or ask that they mail you one:). Other physical catalogs, magazines or ads will work too. Students who are old enough, could "shop" the ikea online store and then print out their "cart" in color if at all possible. (https://onlinecatalogue.ikea.com/US/en/IKEA_Catalogue/#/pages/1)
