Do you love anime? I do! Do you have a favorite anime that you have watched several times? I do! Want to convince others that your favorite anime is the greatest? Join me and a group of like-minded anime fans to talk about your favorite anime. In this ongoing class, we will discuss our favorite anime and why others should give it a chance. Students will come to class prepared to persuade me and other students why we should watch their favorite anime. We will discuss characters, genres, villains, underlying meanings, humor, and anything else about the student’s favorite anime. Let’s share our enthusiasm and knowledge with anime fans! Let’s make new friends who have similar interests. It can be an exciting and energizing experience to learn more about what we love. Anime Social Club Rules 1. Be respectful of others' opinions. 2. Listen as others speak. 3. Camera's on. Each class is a learner-directed discussion session with no need for supplies or materials. Schedule Week of January 5th: Students will name their favorite anime and discuss what they like about it. Week of January 12th: Students will discuss their favorite characters and suggest animes for classmates to watch. Week of January 19th: Students will discuss what they like about the plots of different animes. Week of January 26th: Students will lead a discussion about characters and plots of their favorite animes. Week of February 2nd: Students will discuss their favorite characters and suggest animes for classmates to watch. Week of February 9th: Students will discuss what they like about the plots of different animes. Week of February 16th: Students will discuss animes that were not interesting to them. Week of February 23rd: Students will name their favorite anime and discuss what they like about it.

The goal of this ongoing class is to give students a safe environment to discuss a topic they enjoy.

Note to Parents:
Anime in its original language sometimes uses inappropriate language for young children. We will avoid such language in this class. Some anime may be more mature than others discussed. Since all parents may not be aware of or choose not to follow the rating systems for anime, titles with a mature storyline may be mentioned. I will address each issue as it arises.
