In this ongoing class, students will learn about different aspects of anime art. Each meeting will cover a specific aspect (i.e. nose, eyes, hair, poses, etc.) in depth, also covering different styles of each one. Students may join at any time as topics do not build upon one another but rather are separate topics covering aspects of anime as a whole. The list of topics include but are not limited to: hair, eyes, mouth, poses, clothes and hands. Being that the anime world is vast, meetings are not limited to drawing anime characters but also include creatures, food, and whatever else students wish to focus on.
 
Class will begin with a short Google presentation in which an overview of the weekly topic will be covered. I will then guide students step by step on how to use different techniques to draw each style of that week's topic. Instruction will be followed by voluntary discussion of anime as students work on their drawing techniques. Before class ends, students will vote on what they want to focus on the following week.

My teaching style is very open, I am open to students asking questions and encourage them to express themselves. I also encourage students to make their artwork their very own by adding their own ideas and accents to a piece. Students may interact with one another and discuss all things anime! 

No previous experience or knowledge is required.

Week 1 will begin with a study and drawing on anime hair and its many styles. The following weeks' topics for this ongoing class will be determined by popular vote by the students. Voting occurs at the end of every weekly meeting.
