As an educator, I have an extensive background in the equine industry. I received my Associate of Applied Science in Equine Training & Management and have pursued a career as a riding instructor, horse trainer, barn manager and horse judge. Throughout my college degree, I have taken many equine courses including health, nutrition, reproduction, business, anatomy, physiology, and horsemanship. Horses have been a large part of my life for over fifteen years in which I have competed in western performance and ranch horse versatility events. I am prepared to teach this course!
Students should come to class ready with a pen/pencil, notebook and colored pencils. Teacher will provide handouts including scoresheets and diagrams.
During this class, students may find themselves sensitive to occasional images or videos viewed in this class. This media will be relevant as we study veterinary and common illnesses or issues among horses. Images and videos will include blood and other bodily fluids. Please do discuss with your student about this content.
We will occasionally use YouTube during class times to enhance each learner's understanding. For class 28 and 29, teacher will provide scoresheets for students.
