Learners will analyze primary source documents and answer comprehension questions based on a primary source. These activities should not take more than one hour to complete評估
Learners will be assessed informally in each class through verbal comprehension checks and class discussion. Each class will begin with a quick review of the activities from the previous week's class to ensure students understood the material. Embark on an exciting journey through Ancient Greece in this dynamic and interactive class! Perfect for young historians and curious learners, this course dives deep into the fascinating world of Greek civilization, from its geographical origins to its lasting cultural legacy. Students will explore the creation of the polis, the role of geography in shaping Greek life, and the evolution of government in this influential civilization. We'll examine key moments such as the Persian Wars, the Peloponnesian Wars, and the rise of Alexander the Great, while comparing the unique societies of Athens and Sparta. Through a captivating PowerPoint presentation and a guided notes set, students will learn about the Greek army and the phalanx, marvel at the achievements of the Greek Golden Age (including Homer, Aesop, Pythagoras, Aristotle, and more), and discover the enduring stories of the Greek gods. This course is designed to be mostly a PowerPoint presentation with some videos that are relevant to the topic. Students will review what they learned in the previous lesson, then transition to the new content, and the class will end with a comprehension check to ensure students understand the new material. All students will need to have a functional camera and microphone as class discussions are an essential component of the course. Students will be provided with a guided note worksheet in a pdf format to meet each student’s needs. During the final class, students will review what they have learned by completing an interactive Kahoot game.

I can describe the influence of Ancient Greece on other civilizations.
