•	Understand that historical events can be interpreted differently by different individuals, families, and communities.
•	Discover how ancient structures were built. 
•	Demonstrate the importance of listening to other points of view in the classroom.
•	Examine relationships between ancient civilizations and look at comparisons. 
•	Identify the differences between the ancient civilizations. 
S.T.E.A.M.
•	Explore energy’s ability to cause motion or create change.
•	Develop, test, and refine prototypes as part of the design process. 
•	Recognize designing is a creative process and everyone can design solutions to problems.
•	Use and demonstrate a variety of appropriate art elements and principles to produce, review and revise original works in art. 
•	Solve problems involving measurement, and estimation of temperature, liquid volume, mass, weight, or length. 
I am a Pennsylvania certified Social Studies teacher and I taught 6th and 7th grade Social Studies/World History. I also was a preschool teacher where I taught many subjects including history and science. I have been teaching different subjects for 8 years. I have a bachelor's degree in Social Sciences-Education from the Pennsylvania State University. This is where I took multiple researched-based classes and coursework in American History, European History, World History, Cultural Geography, and World Regional Geography.

Campers will be required to assemble their interactive learning notebook before class. That way, learners can follow along with the lesson and document their findings. Campers will also need to gather their S.T.E.A.M. Challenge supplies before the class.

Campers will need: *The interactive-notebook and supply list will be available a week before the class starts. • Ancient Civilizations interactive-notebook(needs to be printed, cut, and assembled into a college-ruled note-book BEFORE class begins) • S.T.E.A.M. Challenge items from the supply list provided • A college ruled Note-Book • Pencil • Crayons or Markers • Scissors • Glue Bottle and Glue Stick • Ruler
Parents, please be advised students will need to use scissors to prepare the notebook. Scissors are an important tool to master but should be used with caution. Please ensure your learner knows how to be safe with scissors. If they are not comfortable doing so, please be ready to help them off camera and/or prepare before class.
The students will be able to use their knowledge of the historical period to interpret the evidence and present an informed view.
