As requested by a fantastic group of my Outschool students, we will be learning to sign fantasy words relating to wizards, witches, and more! Signs to be learned include: wand, beard, hat, etc. We will briefly go over these signs weekly, at the beginning of each class, with the rest of the class time being signed conversations related to the signs covered in class. Students will be able to converse with one another in ASL regarding anything fantasy-related, including wizards, magic, or even their favorite book/movie series--allowing for the class to be both educational and social. Exact covered topics are learner-directed and vary weekly based on what the students would like to discuss, though they will remain focused on fantasy world signs.
