Have you ever wondered if a guinea pig is a good pet? Not sure what is required to care for these amazing creatures? Then join this fun and interactive class to find out. Together we will explore the world of guinea pigs and the basics of their care. We'll begin with a brief history of guinea pigs and discover where they came from. Then we'll some of the many breeds of guinea pigs and why some are better for first-time owners. If you are wondering what you will need to buy to care for a...
By the end of class students will be able to: 1. Discuss the history of guinea pigs as pets. 2. Discuss the basic food, water, and socialization needs of guinea pigs from their owners. 3. Discuss questions to consider BEFORE getting a guinea pig to know if it is the right pet for you. 4. Practice basic presentation skills with their peers if applicable.
