Come and learn about some amazing Alaskan animals! Each week we will discuss a new animal and learn about their habitat, location, social behavior, life span, and physical features. Instruction will include a powerpoint with pictures and bullet points of the information. As we discuss facts about these animals and their lives, I will help students connect information about their physical features and how they live. We will look at furs and skulls for many of these incredible creatures and use our skills of observation to ask questions and learn more about these interesting animals. In this class we will learn about the following animals... Wednesday, 6/7/23: Wolves Wednesday, 6/14/23: Bears Wednesday, 6/21/23: Wolverine Wednesday, 6/28/23: Huskies Wednesday, 7/5/23: Dall sheep Wednesday, 7/12/23: Mountain goat Wednesday, 7/19/23: Moose Wednesday, 7/26/23: Caribou Wednesday, 8/2/23: Snowshoe hares Come join me!

Hello! I'm Amy Davis and I'm passionate about teaching and helping kids learn. I am an 8th generation teacher and have taught kindergarten, 2nd, and 3rd grade in public school, right here in the hometown where I was born and raised. I have watched, helped, volunteered, and taught professionally my whole life. I believe that learning can and should be a part of real, everyday life.
