In this amazing one-time class, we will learn all about tornadoes and waterspouts. Our class will go as follows: 1. Whirlwind Word Warm Up (5 minutes): As a warm up, we will go through key vocabulary words/pictures related to tornadoes and waterspouts. This will help gauge your learner's knowledge. 2. All About Tornadoes (10 minutes): We will review how tornadoes are formed, the Fujita scale, shocking records that tornadoes hold. We will also look at media of powerful tornadoes. 3. All About Waterspouts (10 minutes): We will go through the difference between tornadic and fair weather waterspouts. We will also review how waterspouts can become tornadoes. 4. Windy Wrap Up (5 minutes): We will complete a fun team game on what we learned during our class together. Everyone will receive "5 Fun Facts about Tornadoes & Waterspouts" along with a certificate of achievement.
