Fairy tales are a great way to look for story elements! They're also some of the most fun stories to read! In our class, we will look at the classic Disney version of the fairy tale Cinderella. As students listen to me read the story, we will look for things such as setting (where a story takes place), plot (what is happening in the story), problems, solutions, magic, mischief, and much more! Each student will have a foldable that you will print at home before class. We will work together to fill out the different parts after listening to the whole story. If we have extra time, we will share other fairy tales we know, and see if we are able to name the story elements of our favorite fairy tales! Grab a snack and come have story time with me!

Hello! My name is Lindsey Weeks. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education, and hold a National Board Certification. I am also experienced in teaching English as a second language to students through online classrooms. I was a classroom teacher for 11 years, teaching 4th grade and 2nd grade. I am now a homeschooling mom! I have 3 children, ages 7, 4, and 1.
As a mom, I also have a passion for health and wellness. I like to encourage my children to be active and healthy! My certification as a personal trainer, and nutrition coach through ISSA allows me to help my family and others to be the healthiest they can be!
I love to make learning fun, and truly believe almost anything can be learned through literature. I like to engage my students in fun literature and novel studies that can develop strong vocabulary, as well as comprehension skills. 評論
