Gain the Algebra knowledge that you need to be successful in future math courses. Algebra 2 is foundational course for Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus and other STEM subjects. This course will increase your problem-solving, analysis and algebraic skills. This is an ongoing class that will meet twice a week and will cover the Algebra 2 curriculum. This class is conducted using a general format of lecture, examples, and student practice. We will also use other online resources to practice and explore the conceptual understanding of the material. This class is recommended for those who: 1) Want to get an overview of the important Algebra 2 concepts. 2) Want to Review & Practice the knowledge that was learned in Algebra 2. 3) Want to learn Algebra 2 from scratch! • Students must have completed Algebra 1 in order to be successful in this course. • Class Notes will be provided in PDF form. These should be printed off and organized. A 3-ring binder is recommended. • A variety of resources will be provided to practice the skillsets. Students should choose the mix of activities that is the most successful for them. Resources will include: - Homework and Solution Keys in PDF format. - An online classroom will be available with links to online Quizzes/Assessments. - Desmos Activities and Desmos Graphing will also be used to practice concepts. - Links to online practice sets (flashcards, multiple choice, escape rooms, etc.) as an alternative way to practice the skillsets and help to gain proficiency. Classes will meet twice per week. Classes will be not be scheduled on the following dates: Tuesday, January 28 Saturday, March 1 Sunday, March 2

These are: Absolute Value, Quadratic, Polynomial, Rational, Exponential, Logarithmic & Trigonometric.Solving a variety of equation types by applying appropriate algebraic strategies including: factoring, applying inverse operations, u-substitution, and, in general manipulating equations algebraically.

Students should have paper, pencil and a calculator. I will be using TI-84 in class ($100). Other calculators are fine, but I will not be able to demonstrate how they are used. A graphing calculator is NOT required, but is recommended if you are planning on taking any math beyond Algebra 2.
