There is no previous coding or computer science knowledge needed for this class! Students will learn about AI, including its definition, history, and common applications in our world today. Over 5,000 students from nearly 100 countries across a variety of platforms have started coding in one of my classes. I offer classes covering the foundations of Python, AI, and Machine Learning. I am the author of the soon-to-be released book All About Python for Kids. Before teaching, I worked as a developer for nearly 10 years. I've worked for organizations including Apple, Dell, and Best Buy. I think the most effective way to learn is through practical experience. In all my classes, we focus on hands-on projects that become more challenging over time. I'm a graduate of Mount St. Mary's University in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
Students should have access to a laptop or desktop computer with a full keyboard. All applications used for this class are web based and will work with any modern browser such as Edge, Chrome, Safari, or Firefox. Students will also need an active Google Account to log in for Teachable Machines.

Sometimes these outputs may be inappropriate, offensive, or biased in a variety of ways.
