In this class we will review all five of the short vowel sounds; students will practice saying and identifying the sounds. Students will review the sounds using actions, writing, and speaking. We will play fun games together to encourage learning. Students will have opportunity to answer individually and as a group. This would be a great class for students that have already taken my short vowel classes: "A,A,A, Apple!, E,E,E, Egg!, I, I, I, Inchworm!, O, O, O, Octopus!, and U,U,U, Umbrella!". Students that are just learning the short vowel sounds could also benefit from this class as an introduction to the vowel sounds.

Hello, my name is Parri!
I am so excited to be teaching with Outschool. I hope to teach classes in Phonics, Math, Art, and Sea Glass.
I have been teaching for 28 years; I taught for 25. 5 years in a Brick and Mortar school and for 2.5 years online. I have taught Reading, Language, Phonics, Literature, Spelling, Math, Social Studies, Canadian Studies, and Science. I LOVE teaching Phonics and Reading. Online I have been teaching children ages 4-14 to speak English. I also do tutoring with these ages and in these subjects both online and in person.
I believe teaching should be fun and at the same time assist students to reach their highest potential. I like to teach using games and activities that encourage learning in a fun way! I want my students to know I care about them and their learning.
One of the first classes I hope to teach is one about Sea Glass; I LOVE the beach. Since I was a child, I have been roaming beaches looking for sea glass; I also love making things with the glass too!
