美國等級 Pre-Kindergarten - 2
In this class we will "visit" Magic Forest led by Papageno (one of main characters from Mozart's opera Magic Flute) and meet various magical creatures. Throughout our journey we will listen to the fragments from following pieces of classical music: • Mozart The Magic Flute • Mendelssohn A Midsummer Night's Dream • Tchaikovsky The Nutcracker • Tchaikovsky Swan Lake Students will reenact parts of different characters and "help" one of them while playing listening games. Students will get familiarized with fragments of famous classical pieces. They will practice listening to short segments of classical music and expecting the "clues" from the music. Students will be encouraged to use their creative thinking while playing musical games and making crafts.
Supply List: • Shoe box WITHOUT LID OR TOP • White playdough • Cotton ball (optional) • Wide blades of grass, a few short plants, and / or leaves • Construction or any other kind of paper in blue and yellow (yellow could be replaced with any shiny color – only tiny scrap is needed) • Glue • Scotch tape • Scissors • Markers, crayons, or pencils (optional)
For the craft portion of the class parental guidance is required for younger students (ages 4-5) for the use of scissors and other materials. Parental guidance is recommended for older students (ages 6-8).
