課堂經歷
I will be teaching students how to read and write large numbers up to 100 million. We will be using methods I learned from the Making Math Real Institute. I will provide an advanced place value chart that we can use to practice reading and writing numbers. I like to relate math to things the students already know and understand. The class will be interactive with students getting a chance to practice the place value skills they have learned. If time allows we may watch a fun place value video to reinforce the concept.

A one page handout is attached for enrolled learners. We will use the handout to practice writing numbers. It is really handy to put the handout in a plastic page protector and then your student can use a dry erase marker. If you can't print the sheet out, please have paper or a white board/dry erase markers ready to practice number writing.

I teach classes in math and language. I have taken courses in Making Math Real and plan to use those strategies in my math classes. I have credentials in both general education and special education. I have also been trained in LindaMood Bell LiPS. I like working with students that learn differently. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a Master’s degree in Special Education.
I love animals, especially dogs. I like to make jewelry and read in my spare time.
