課堂經歷
In this multi-day paper sculpting camp, students will learn many paper sculpting techniques as we build a 3D paper world from the ground up. On day one, we will lay down our grass and stream, and learn about creating fringe, tabs, and curls and the importance of a sturdy base. We will place river rocks in our water and begin cutting pieces for our flowers and bush. On day two we will assemble our flowers, bush, and the tree in our yard and learn about more ways to manipulate paper to create 3D forms. And on day three we will create our tent, camp fire, and camping chairs. This class is large part art, part engineering, part geometry, all fun! I strive to cultivate an easy going, fun, and interactive experience in all my classes.

Hello, friends! My name is Amy Sloan and I am an artist and a teacher. My degree may be in Photojournalism, but it’s painting, drawing, sculpting, and crafting that I adore and seek to share with art lovers of all ages!
My teaching philosophy mirrors that of the late, great Bob Ross, who helped inspire my own growth mindset by teaching that there are no mistakes in art, only happy accidents.
I currently teach arts and crafts in an after school/summer camp program for middle school students. I have further experience teaching jewelry making and illustration to both children and adults. And I am also the mother of a budding kindergarten artist!
