Welcome to this class page!  Your child will learn how to add/subtract within 1,000 with regrouping and using strategies, identify odd or even numbers, place value to 1,000, tell time to the nearest 5 minutes, count how much money you have, measure using inches, feet, meters, centimeters, graph data and compare graphs, Identify triangles, quadrilaterals, pentagons, hexagons, and cubes.

🙋‍♀️Teacher Commnication:
 I am available through the messaging system if your child does not understand something, please let me know. If you have a question, please reach out. I typically respond quickly unless it is in the middle of the night CST.

📝Work Packet:
Each week 24 hours before class, I will upload the work packet for the week. In the work packet you will find the worksheets for the class which we will complete together and the worksheets that are optional if your child would like to enhance his/her learning and have extra practice.

📰Monthly Newsletter:
I give a monthly newsletter that will include the lessons for the month, ideas or strategies that will help your child best succeed in math. I also include any class changes such as upcoming holidays or breaks when we will not be meeting.

Place Value up to 1,000, write word form to represent numbers to 1,000,

Week 2- The week of 9/16 
Compare numbers, order numbers from least to greatest, greatest to least, skip counting by 5's, skip counting by 100's

The week of 9/23
Skip counting by 10's, adding 2-digit numbers with a 100's chart, adding 2-digit numbers with an open line, decomposing a number into a number bond to add (2digit plus 1 digit), addition by breaking apart tens and ones, 2-digit addition without regrouping using base ten blocks (Concrete)

The week of 9/30
2-digit addition without regrouping by drawing base ten blocks (Pictorial),2-digit addition with regrouping by drawing base ten blocks (Pictorial), Adding more than 2 addends, Adding with the traditional algorithm, One-step real world word problems.

2-digit subtraction without regrouping by drawing base ten blocks (Pictorial), 2-digit subtraction with regrouping by drawing base ten blocks (Pictorial), Subtracting with the traditional algorithm, One-step real world word problems, two-step word problems.

The week of 10/21:
Adding 3-digit numbers with an open number line, 3-digit addition without regrouping using a place value chart, 3 digit addition with regrouping in the ones place using a place value chart,3-digit addition with regrouping in the tens place using a place value chart, 3-digit addition with regrouping in the tens and ones place using a place value chart.

The week of 10/28:
Subtracting 3-digit numbers with an open number line, 3-digit subtraction without regrouping using a place value chart, 3-digit subtraction: Regrouping tens and ones, 3-digit subtraction: Decomposing hundreds and regrouping in the tens,3-digit subtraction: Decomposing hundreds and tens.

Multiplication Concepts-Creating equal groups, Odd and even numbers-Pictorial Representation, Odd and even Numbers-Place Value, Relating doubles to even numbers and writing number sentences, Division concepts-skip counting using a 100s chart, Division concepts- skip counting backwards using a number line.

The week of 1/6:
Meaning of the words sum and difference, mental math: 10 more and 10 less, mental math: 100 more and 100 less, Adding ones to a 3-digit number mentally, counting on 1 and 2.
The week of 1/13:
Mentally adding doubles, mentally adding near doubles, mentally adding doubles plus 2, mentally adding with 10
The week of 1/20:
Equal or unequal parts, reading fractions, creating halves, creating thirds, creating fourths.
The week of 1/27:
Comparing fractions, adding like fractions, subtracting like fractions, finding fractions of a set, partitioning rectangles.
