課堂經歷
In this class we will be discussing some of the traits associated with ADHD and how those traits are super powers. We will take those traits and create an original superhero (ADHD KID/DREAMER GIRL/SUPERFAST BOY) and design a trading card for that superhero. Using a piece of printer paper we will identify our 'flex', our 'kryptonite', and our 'helpers'. We will then draw a superhero-could just be a stick person in a cape, no drawing skills are required. The number one goal of this class is to counteract some of the negative messaging that is associated with ADHD and to shine a light on some of the positive aspects. If this class can move the self-esteem needle one point towards positive-that would be a win.
Having had ADHD my whole life, I've learned to embrace the positive aspects and draw on those strengths. That has helped me raise and homeschool my youngest son, who is diagnosed with ADHD and learning disablilites.
any art supplies you have, that your learner enjoys working with: pen/pencil, pencil crayons, markers, paints etc a few pieces of printer paper optional-cardstock to make the trading card-usually 2.5 X 3.5 inches, *this class can happily be done with a piece of printer paper and a pencil if that's all you have.
