Students will gain confidence in their ability to express and emote. Acting helps develop good public speaking skills, develop self-awareness, encourages empathy and helps in overcoming the fear of performing. Learning & memorizing lines is a great memory exercise for the brain.  In this class students will learn the difference between on-camera and stage acting. They wil be able to watch the recordings of the class and see their own performances as the speaker view cuts to each actor just as it would on tv or film.

Netflix, Hulu, Disney +, Nickelodeon, Cable, Youtube.  Students will look for scenes from television shows or movies and cast themselves and their classmates in a scene they've always wanted to do.  The sky is the limit!  The most simple way to do this is to pay attention to scenes they like and a character they wish to portray.  Put on the closed caption, stop-start and write or type out the scene.  Scenes should be 1-3 minutes in length.  We will discuss details in class.
