課堂經歷
If you want pursue a career in theatre, film or television as a successful actor, then monologues are one of the most important aspects of an actor's preparation that you can learn about - they are the often the key to nailing that audition, booking your first roles and building a body of work you can be proud of! In this class, we will pose the question: 'What is a Monologue?' and let lively class debate move us towards what purpose monologues serve within plays and, ultimately, what makes a good piece for audition/presentation purposes. Choosing great material is vitally important and aspiring actors who have not yet been required to perform monologues for school entrance exams / professional auditions etc. will greatly benefit from the advice in this class in order to get a head start on their prep for the profession! This area of expertise is one I absolutely LOVE to teach and I can't wait to share some of my insight from 10+ years of experience with your learners! See you in the classroom...

Ideally, Learners should have access to hardwired internet or a stable WiFi connection when attending class. Make sure you are situated at a table or desk so that we can easily see your face when reading/performing your speeches - the less you have to hold or interact with the device you are attending class on, the better! If you are attending class on a TABLET and don't have the ability to bring up multiple windows at the same time, make sure you come prepared with a printed copy of the text for your appropriate class. If you are goig to be working on a paper copy of the material, make sure you have a pencil and, ideally, a highlighter to hand to make notes. Earbuds or Headphones with a mic are recommended - we want to be able to hear all the wonderful contributions to class on the first go!
