In this class, students and I will discuss 9 different tips to help them create dialogue that is realistic and believable in their creative writing stories. Please note that this class was not created for beginners, as we will not be covering how to format or punctuate dialogue in this class. Students should have an understanding of those rules before taking this class. We will begin class with a small writing exercise. Then, we will work through a PowerPoint together for the lecture...
Students will learn how to edit dialogue. Students will learn how to use world-building techniques within dialogue. Students will learn techniques to giving a character a unique voice. Students will practice writing dialogue.
Students will need their writing journal and something to write with.
