Welcome to 8th Grade Summer Math review where students will learn and review their objectives in a fun and engaging way by using Nearpod & Blooket! This class is perfect for students who are entering 8th grade or want a review on the 8th grade math objectives Every lesson will be taught as if it was new to the student to ensure that they understand the material. The lesson will be fun and engaging as they will get to play fun games to reinforce the lesson, do activities like drag and drop activities and many more activities that can be found within Nearpod Students will be able to participate in the class by various formats. They can come off mute and ask questions, they can show their work on the Nearpod, or they can ask questions on the chatbox. I love to ensure students are understanding the material, therefore students will be asked questions throughout the lesson. **Nearpod is a fun and interactive platform that students love because it is extremely hands-on. Students will NOT need a paid account to access it. They will receive a link prior to class and at the beginning of the class to simply click on it and login** Please note that for classes with more than 1 learner, class may be muted to ensure there is no noise in the background. Class includes: Nearpod lesson Exit Ticket Homework Week of 6/2/25: Lesson 1: Positive Scientific Notation Please look at the lessons below to know what topic will be covered during the week that we are currently covering: Week of June 2, 2025: Lesson 1: Positive Scientific Notation Week of June 9, 2025: Lesson 2: Negative Scientific Notation Week of June 16, 2025: Lesson 3: Real Numbers Week of June 23, 2025: Lesson 4: Pythagorean Theorem (Finding legs, a/b) Week of July 7, 2025: Lesson 5: Pythagorean Theorem (Finding hypotenuse, c) Week of July 14, 2025: Lesson 6: Distributive Property Week of July 21, 2025: Lesson 7: Proportional/Nonproportional in Equations Week of July 28, 2025: Lesson 8: Proportional/Nonproportional In Tables Week of August 4, 2025: Lesson 9: Finding Slope & y-intercept in Graph Week of August 11,2025: Lesson 10: Finding Slope & y-intercepts In Equations The class will run from June 2,2025-August 8,2025 🚨Outschool policies: 1️⃣ If your learner misses a meeting we are unable to share the recording for the safety of other learners 2️⃣ Refunds will not be given within 24 hours of class starting. If your learner will miss class and you would like a refund please advice outside of the 24-hour mark 3️⃣ If learners don’t show up within 10 minutes of class starting then class will end at the 11th minute, and no refunds will be issued. If your learner will be late please advice so the teacher can wait in the zoom meeting 4️⃣ All learners must be verified by turning on their camera at the beginning of the class 5️⃣ Only enrolled learners are allowed to be on camera. Dazzling Minds Academy, founded by Erika Corona, offers a variety of fun escape rooms and fun math classes. Dazzling Minds Academy specializes in escape rooms and math classes where students will use their critical thinking skills in both math and decoding ciphers to ensure that students learn while having fun.
Up to now, Dazzling Minds Academy, has served over 6,950 students in both live and flex classes. Our flex classes offers prerecorded instruction where each child can follow along with Teacher Erika to ensure that every objective is fully understood. Our live classes are filled with fun mysteries decoding ciphers and fun technology use such as Kahoot.
Dazzling Minds Academy offers all types of classes; Flex, One-Time, Ongoing and Multiday to ensure that parents choose the best option for their child.
All courses are designed by Teacher Erika and taught by highly qualified teachers that are excited to teach and ensure that every child has fun while learning.
Dazzling Minds Academy vision is to ensure that every child learns by having fun. Our escape rooms are fun, yet challenging and our math classes are carefully prepared to ensure each child learns the objective. We offer over 60 flex classes of Math, Writing, Grammar full curriculum PDF journals as well as fun classes with decoding ciphers

ERIKA: Founder of Dazzling Minds Academy and Math teacher for over 8 years in the middle school setting. Prior to that, I was a teacher aide with all grade levels in the elementary setting. I have taught with VIPKids and have tutored kids for over 15 years.
