What Will Be Taught? This 7th-grade science course offers an engaging, comprehensive journey through life science, Earth science, and physical science. Students will explore critical scientific concepts such as energy flow, chemical reactions, Earth’s dynamic systems, and human impact on ecosystems. Through hands-on activities, collaborative learning, and evidence-based instruction, students will develop a deep understanding of science and its application in the real world. What Topics Will You Cover? This course includes 25 weeks of dynamic exploration, covering: Energy and Matter in Living Systems Earth Systems and Processes Environmental Impact and Biodiversity Chemistry and Conservation in Science Engineering and Problem-Solving How Is Your Class Structured? Each week includes: Direct Instruction: Engaging lessons to explain and introduce key scientific concepts. Facilitated Learning: Discussions and guided activities to explore and analyze ideas. Hands-On Activities: Virtual labs, simulations, and problem-solving projects. Breakout Sessions: Collaborative work in small groups for deeper exploration. How Will You Teach? This course utilizes evidence-based practices to support diverse learning styles. Instructional strategies include: Visual aids (slides, videos, diagrams) for visual learners. Hands-on experiences through virtual labs and experiments. Discussions and auditory explanations to reinforce concepts for auditory learners. Interactive tools and problem-solving activities to engage kinesthetic learners. What’s Your Teaching Style? This course emphasizes inquiry-based learning, where students are encouraged to ask questions, investigate problems, and explore solutions. The approach fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and collaboration, helping students build confidence in their scientific reasoning and problem-solving abilities. How Much Will Learners Get to Interact? Students will engage with the instructor and peers through: Lectures and Slides: Clear, concise explanations with opportunities for Q&A.
