This class will help students develop the confidence and skills they need to communicate effectively with others. Whether you are looking to improve your public speaking abilities, strengthen your writing skills, or learn how to navigate difficult conversations and conflicts, this class is for you.

What is a conversation and why do we have them.
How to make a conversation enjoyable.
Good ways to start a conversation.
3 basic tips for being a good conversationalist.

What makes a conversation interesting.
Active listening and asking good questions.
How much to talk about yourself.
3 more tips for getting better at conversations.
One-to-one versus group conversations.
Special kinds of conversations: formal vs. informal, meetings or interviews, easy vs. difficult topics, emotional vs. technical

Once a learner has been verified per OS policy, this is a camera optional class.

Please be aware I try to teach all of my classes to at least 2 students as I feel it provides a better teaching and learning experience. If the minimum amount of students is not reached 24 hours before the start of the course, students will be transferred to the next available section at a similar time.
