Improve letter, number, shape, and line recognition. Improved line awareness and spacing when writing. Improved overall handwriting quality and speed. Understand proper use of writing and cutting tools. Understand proper positioning during handwriting activities. Improve functional communication skills. Improve computer skills.
Materials for this class may vary depending on the learner's needs. Supplies may include unlined paper, pencil with eraser, crayons, markers, colored pencils, paint, paintbrushes, scissors, highlighters, shaving cream, mat/tray/plate, dry erase marker board/dry erase markers/eraser, chalkboard/chalk/eraser, sponges. Additional templates provided by teacher depending on the learner's needs, ability to print material is beneficial, but not required.
