This class is designed for upper elementary and middle school students to increase their reading comprehension skills. They will learn various techniques such as using context clues, strengthening vocabulary, taking notes, locating information to answer comprehension questions, building background knowledge and previewing a text. Students will learn a skill to apply to reading comprehension and then engage with a text. The text can be a school assignment, an article from CommonLit or a...
- Students will strengthen reading comprehension skills such as previewing text, developing vocabulary, using context clues and more.
I have a Master's in Elementary Education as well as certification as an ESOL (English as a Second Language) teacher for grades 6-12.

頻率: Available upon request細節: If parents request, students can be assessed by reading an article independently and answering questions for evaluation.
ONLY students doing a book study will need to supply a book to read as much of the reading is done outside of the class.
This is not a phonics class. This is for students that already have a foundation in reading.
