In the tutorial session, math topics will be chosen by the students and parents. A few examples of topics would include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. I will teach any math topic that a child needs help with. Sometimes, it may be that the child is struggling. Other times, it may just be a skill that is a little harder for a parent to teach. I can also do homework with a child or help prepare for an upcoming test. I believe in direct teaching with lots of guided practice followed by independent practice. Videos, visual aids, games, and other resources will be used  to keep learning engaging and fun. By having students "talk through" the math problems, I am able to gauge their understanding and help them to become more skilled math students. In this one on one session, students will have my full attention for the entire session.
