In this course, students will be given guided practice problems to practice skills and concepts with fractions typically taught in fifth grade. This should not be the student's first exposure to this mathematical operation. Students will be given immediate feedback, guided error correction, and reteaching as needed during the class. Learners can also bring homework or assignments from school or other classes that involve fractions to work on together.

Concepts and skills can include any of the following:
•Equivalent Fractions
•Simplifying Fractions
•Converting Between Improper Fractions and Mixed Numbers
•Comparing and/or Sequencing Fractions
•Adding, Subtracting, Multiplying or Dividing Fractions with Unlike Denominators
•Adding, Subtracting, Multiplying, or Dividing Mixed Numbers
•Word Problems with Fractions
