In this one time class students will learn how to to crochet. This class is for beginners, no experience necessary. First we will learn how to make a slip knot and then a chain. After we practice we will then learn how to do the single stitch, and double crochet stitch. Students will practice their new skills. We will discuss tension and how it affects our stitches. We will also learn how to hold the yarn and the hook. We will also discuss how different yarns and hooks can give us different results.
Students need yarn and appropriate crochet hook. 
Lighter colored yarns are best. Dark yarns make it difficult to see the stitches.
Worsted weight yarn or bulky yarn is easier to work with than thinner yarns.
It is best to have multiple hooks to help adjust tension.
