In every class, I will begin with a short "catch up" conversation for the first 2-5 minutes to help the student warm up. Then, we will do a quick 5 minute vocal warm up (if applicable to the student). From there, I will ask the student to perform his/her piece for me. We will then discuss the goal in the session, i.e. the student may want to perfect his/her visual performance or work on stage fright, etc. The main goal of the course is to cater to the specific desires of each student in a welcoming, inviting, judgment-free, comfortable environment. My intention is to help each student come to life in his/her own way through performance. I will emphasize the following topics: - how to get comfortable on stage - how to overcome nerves or nervous habits - how to utilize props on stage - how to communicate emotion on stage - how to develop your own voice/style on stage
