This group will be a place for chicken lovers to talk about their feathered pets. Other types of birds are also welcome to the class. I currently care for chickens, ducks, and a couple parakeets, but I will mainly focus on chickens. Students will be encouraged to talk about how they care for their flock. They can use the group to ask questions on topics of interest or how to help their chickens. Students are encouraged to post pictures or videos of their animals to share with the class. Students can also share helpful tips and products that they like to use to care for their chickens. Students will have the opportunity to show what they do to care for their chickens, or just for fun. These topics will include treat recipes students share, themed photo shoots of their chickens, sharing of coop photos, and how they keep their birds from being bored. As the moderator, I will make sure posts are respectful and fun as students engage with their virtual friends. If you have any questions, feel free to message me.

Hello! I am very excited for the opportunity to teach your student. I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and certified to teach middle grades math and science. I have five years of teaching experience, both in a classroom and online. I love teaching students in an open environment. My teaching style includes guided questioning and open discussion. I offer classes on math, science, chickens, and organizational skills. I am a mother of two daughters, both with special needs, and married for ten years. I enjoy raising backyard chickens and upcycling or repurposing materials into new DIY projects in my free time.
