Join Mrs. Roxy, a professional artist, and educator in this highly engaging Group, where learners worldwide can share their love for everything creative, kawii and awesome!! I will moderate and guide the group with super friendly, fun and exciting weekly posts but members are encouraged to share anytime. For example, members can post a picture of collections, artwork, cute memorabilia. I am going to be sharing my new kawaii stickers and stationary set, I am so excited about. I will also have weekly sketches with tips and tricks, fun weekly doodle challenges if learners would like to join. Personality quizzes. Silly kid jokes and lots of resources for awesome illustrations and more. Plus encouraging and inspiring weekly quotes, fun collaboration projects and I will also share cute clips from family-friendly sources like animated Pusheen, fun art drawings or cute cats and animal pals. I always try to keep the posts positive, kind and encouraging. I ask learners to do the same. Do you have a fave cute cartoon animals or magical fantasy thing to draw?! We can't wait to find out. Learners from all over the world, with different backgrounds, races, ethnicities, abilities, gender identities, religions and body types, participate in our Group. Always be nice and make others, especially new learners, know that they belong and are welcome. Teasing, name calling, or bullying anybody in our community? Nope. Not happening here. . Any content that is sexually mature will be deleted. No discussion of sexuality, personal wor otherwise is permitted and comments will be deleted. Thank you for your understanding.
Be Safe - Keep your personal information private and never ask other learners for theirs.
Personal things are personal. We want to keep you safe on Outschool, but we also want YOU to understand how to be safe when you're meeting other learners or teachers. Keep your full name, home address, gaming or social media name, email, and school name private.

😊Hi, welcome art friends! I am Mrs. Roxy ( Rosanna V. Phillips) I am an artist, private art instructor, and long-time Homeschool Teacher. I am a 5-star rated Outschool Educator who has taught over several thousand learners since joining Outschool in 2020. I strive to provide a positive, encouraging, and empowering environment where my art friends can learn to unlock their secret creative potential! I am a Homeschool mom of three amazing kids ( plus a fur mom to many persnickety pets; including adorable pound puppies and three rescue fuzz ball cats!)
I love studying art at museums. Some of my favorite museums include; the Louvre, the world's largest art museum in Paris, France, and is best known for being the home of the Mona Lisa. A close tie for second place is the Ningxia Museum in China. And finally, near and dear to my heart is the famous Getty Museum, in Southern California where I currently reside with with my husband, three cute kids, and all our crazy fluffy fur babies that we rescued, so far.
As a full-time dedicated professional artist and art educator here on Outschool, I am passionate about offering my unique perspectives to guide young art friends to discover their creative journey. I am highly experienced in the areas of illustration, anime, hyperrealism, and design. I use this unique background to inspire my art friends to add highly creative twists that create awe-inspiring larger-than-life art pieces!
My areas of expertise that I love to focus on are Cultivating Creativity/Resourcefulness, Thinking like an Artist, and Divergent thinking, or “thinking outside the box”. According to recent studies, the creative process of making art sharpens problem-solving and critical thinking skills, the ability to focus, and much more. Studies also show people who make any type of art including sketching are less stressed, anxious, and depressed. Researchers liken creating art to exercise for the brain, similar to how physical exercise aids the body, creating art helps to keep the mind sharp! In other words, Art makes us happy, smart, and great problem solvers!
I am so excited to teach creative expression through various forms of art and to connect learners through exciting sociable art clubs.
