This class is a 1:1 tutoring session geared to improve writing skills by helping learners apply strategies. For writing structure We focus on word parts, punctuation and conventions and use picture clues/illustrations as a guide to write more. For writing clarity We focus on word choice/nuances, spelling patterns and grammar points (tenses, conjunctions, etc). I have taught over 4,500 online tutoring sessions across several learning platforms and worked to improve the academic performance of kindergarten to 10th grade students in the core subject areas of: reading, writing, math, and speaking skills. I am also a former Instructional Team Leader, Before/Afterschool Program Director and 3rd Grade classroom Teacher. I have a Masters degree with a focus on reading and linguistics, have taught in various settings (urban, rural, correctional centers) and have interacted with a host of people from different cultures. I am currently a certified Online Teacher; Reading Guide for BookNook and a Varsity Tutor.
