Students will explore ways to generate topics, work through the writing process and practice writing exciting beginnings and endings. Mini lessons focusing on complete sentences and grammar will be incorporated throughout the course. Instruction is enhanced with mentor texts, modeled writing, guided writing and the use of graphic organizers. We begin each session with a creative writing opportunity to allow students time to become comfortable with sharing their opinions and ideas.
