This course will focus on the American Revolution all the way to present day. The class structure is an open discussion format where each week students are challenged to be involved through either an academic approach or through social-emotional learning. I am currently certified as a substitute teacher in the state of California and am in the middle of completing a Master's Degree in Education pursuing a single subject credential in Social Sciences including History, SocioIogy, and Psychology. I also have a strong background in Business Planning, Finance, and Career Counseling. I have a bachelor's degree from Utah State University and an associate's degree from BYU-Idaho. My wife and I have six kids and one grandchild, so our hobbies often revolve around the activities they are involved in. I love teaching! I seek to create meaningful experiences that inspire and motivate students. Teaching kids is fulfilling because I get to witness their curiosity, creativity, and growth firsthand. It's rewarding to play a role in shaping their minds and helping them develop the skills they need to succeed in life. Teaching world history is a passion of mine! By diving into world history, you're not just reading about the past; you're exploring the story of humanity itself, full of drama, creativity, and adventure!
Assessment

This may be in the form of short quizzes at the end of class, group discussions, or merely answering a question on an exit ticket.
