Woodworking requires fastening wood pieces together, but how? There are so many choices! Nails, screws, bolts, etc

This class goes over each type of fastener, their qualities and benefits, and the tools required to use them properly. The goal is an understanding of the fasteners and which should be used for which application. 

Week 1: Nails
   Nail Size
   Nail Type
   Nail Material and Covering
   Hammers

Week 2: Screws and Bolts
    Screw or Bolt
    Sizes
    Thread types
    Material
    Head type
    Driver Type

Each class will have live presentation of examples as well as videos and animations as required. Students are encouraged to bring items to class for discussion and classification.
