Students will use different parts of speech to generate a list of words that describe winter or their favorite winter holiday. Students will learn how to capture their words in a special word art creation. Students will be guided through the steps of using a word art website as they create their own special word art on their computer, tablet, or smart phone. During this class, your student will: *generate a list of words to describe winter or a winter holiday *use the list of words to create their own word art *learn how to use the different options within the word art website *learn how to add a clipart design to the options (if needed) *create a personalized word art design that can be printed at home
In addition to the Outschool classroom, your child will need to use www.wordart.com on a split screen or on a second device. The website can be accessed for free; an account is not required. Your student will also need paper and a pen or pencil. After class, your learner may want to use art and craft supplies to turn the word art into a craft. Or the word art can be framed in a certificate/document sized frame for a special decoration or gift. I found my certificate frames at a local dollar store.
