수업 소개
If you are a Wings of Fire fan, you will love this class. 5 weeks of discussion and molding a 3D map Pantala. Each week we will discuss and create ta portion of Pantala out of salt dough. Class structure: Free discussion about the kingdom and dragons as we are creating a specific parts of Pantala with salt dough. Salt dough will be mixed before classes 2-5. We will mix it together during the first class to teach how to mix it. We will paint the Kingdom created the previous week to allow time for the salt dough to properly dry and set. Week 1: Discuss and build part 1 of map Week 2: Discuss and build part 2 of map Week 3: Discuss and build part 3 of map Week 4: Discuss and build the 9 hives Week 5: Last discussion and showcase our finished maps In order for this class to run smoothly, and to have a ton of fun - each student needs to arrive to class on time and prepared with supplies. Discussion is a secondary goal of this class. Creating an art mural of Pantala is the primary focus.

- A base to build mural on. Options might include: very sturdy cardboard, plastic plexiglass, wood - Salt dough supplies: bag of flour, water, salt, cream of tartar We will be making a sizable mural. Roughly 25"x33" I would recommend purchasing 1-2 bags of flour, 2-8c of salt, 4-8 TBS of cream of tarter. This should be plenty but if your child has a spill, uses more dough (which is fine) - you may have to purchase more. - Acrylic paint, brushes, paper towels, water. Colors are what you prefer. -Optional tools: tools to sculpt salt dough - Strong adhesive glue or hot glue gun and high temp glue sticks (not cool sticks) Please note that the sculpting is base on your child's imagination. We all visualize fantasy books differently and hopefully we will see that when we all showcase our maps at the end. I do not want the students to create my personal visualization so it will be up to your child to get creative.

Semester Courses
I teach semester-long courses in writing from first grade to high school. Literature classes are also on my semester calendar which will include books such as Romeo & Juliet, 1984, To Kill a Mockingbird, Fahrenheit 451, The Great Gatsby and so many more. I teach reading classes for beginners and those who struggle! Strong focus on sight words, phonics, and comprehension.
Book Clubs
I also schedule book clubs all year long. This allows children worldwide to discuss their viewpoints and ideas on books we read together. I have a ton of book clubs on the Wings of Fire series, Percy Jackson series, The Hobbit, and hundreds of other books.
Summer Camps
Summer camps are held M- Th in the morning hours MST.
Early Readers
Students will enjoy the Magic Treehouse and Merlin Missions series and week-long crafts created using details from what they read.
Writing
Two-week writing camps will be offered.
Early reading classes, middle school and high school literature classes, and book clubs will also be offered all summer long!리뷰
