In this popular animal science class, students can explore and compare the habitat, characteristics, diet, family group and conservation status of the three primary types of Wolves, known as the Gray, Red and Ethiopian. I will be using a presentation created using photo slides and asking interactive questions that will also integrate elements of geography, math and vocabulary into an animal science lesson designed to motivate natural curiosity. I will also include two downloadable templates...
1. Students will learn facts about the physical characteristics of Wolves such as size, diet, habitat and characteristics. 2. Students will learn how scientists use these characteristics to compare and classify a species such as the Wolf. 3. Students will learn why conservation of Wolves is so important and what is being done to prevent the extinction of this species. 4. Students will learn new vocabulary words related to the study of wolves in their natural habitat.
